Vegetable Gardening

I have some 1 foot tall, 8 foot long by 2 foot wide garden beds filled with compost. They are planted with all sorts of vegetables - carrots, watermelons, tomatos, cucumbers, peppers.

I have drip irrigation running down the middle, plus I have the overhead hose option.

I live in Portland, OR where it is sunny and dry all summer.

My question: How often and how much do I water the garden beds?
