ehowgarden asked:
To properly space vegetable gardens, follow the instructions on the seed packets, leave plenty of space between larger plants, and leave only a few inches to a foot between smaller plants. Space out a vegetable garden to produce the best results with information from a sustainable gardener in this free video on gardening.

Huh? asked:
I live in a townhome and we cant have gardens in our lawns. I have a patio, so I was wondering how I could have a mini vegetable garden on it once it gets warm out. I wont have a lot of room, maybe I could have some tomatoes, green beans, things like that. I dont know what kind of container to use either. Any tips?
Is it better to have a lot of sun or little? My patio gets direct sun the whole day.

I’ve had many vegie gardens, some had no nutrients, some had lots, and they all grew well. This leaves me unsure of what the best soil composition os for a vegetable garden….

I live in an subdivision that has quite a bit of extra property. I’m thinking this might be a good time for our little community to come together and plant a vegetable garden.
Does anyone have any experience in starting something like this? What about the shady neighbors (yes, there are some) who like to take things that don’t belong to them?

There’s a bit of disagreement in our household. Hoping ya’ll can help. Hubby and I are planting our first vegetable garden this year. My dad and husband both say that we should plant our seeds in late April. I say mid to late May because of where we live it can frost in May. We live just under 2,000 feet in elevation in West Virginia.

Babyblue asked: Does anyone know of a sprinkler head that I can purchase that has some hoses I can spread out in my vegetable garden. I want to make sure my vegetables get watered everyday and I sometimes can’t because of my little one. I know there are bubblers out there, but I would like something that has like little hoses or maybe just a few hoses I can spread out to make sure all the roots are getting enough water.
Thanks for letting me know!

I want to add sand to my soil. It is very clayey. I can buy sand, or I can get some for free. The free sand was used under a pool liner. They used chlorine in the pool water. Will this hurt my vegetable garden? Can I just rinse it out of the sand?
