Mini vegetable garden?
Huh? asked:
I live in a townhome and we cant have gardens in our lawns. I have a patio, so I was wondering how I could have a mini vegetable garden on it once it gets warm out. I wont have a lot of room, maybe I could have some tomatoes, green beans, things like that. I dont know what kind of container to use either. Any tips?
Is it better to have a lot of sun or little? My patio gets direct sun the whole day.

There are so many plants that you could grow in containers on your patio! Full sun really is a benefit. You can use many different things as containers for plants. 5 or 10 gallon buckets work well, as long as they have drainage holes in the bottom, you can even paint them to add character. Old wooden boxes, old kitchen pots, and there are some new hanging upside down type of “pots”. Let your imagination go wild! Just be sure that containers have good drainage holes in the bottom.
